What's coming next.
I love writing about Trinity. Her world beginning in the year 1950 is ripe with so many stories for me to write about. Social topics that children might one day have to encounter throughout their younger years. These stories are not only entertaining, but they also teach valuable lessons for children as well as parents. Additionally, fifteen percent of the royalties are designated for charitable contributions. So far the charities I have reached out to are involved with raising awareness and seeking solutions with bullying, the treatment and research of childhood ailments, and to the benefit of widows and orphans of fallen soldiers.
I'd very much enjoy being able to tell you which charities that I have reached out to, but until I am clear to announce my endorsements I am obliged to keep their association with me private. Also, I am always open to suggestions of charities to donate to the above mentioned types of causes. I do a very extensive review of any charity to ensure that it is legitimate before I consider making a donation.
The next project for Trinity the Troublemaker will be a fairly simple one for me, it will be a collected edition of all the above works. With exclusive artwork never seen before, some poetry that I have written that bears a little on the point of the stories, as well as the stories from the archives about the bully of Westrock. The archives story takes place after the events of Trinity and the Bully, so you won't have a complete picture of his life at the boarding school until you read that story. Also, the final exposition of the events at the boarding school of St. Clarke will only be available in the collection edition.
Once I have everything in order for the collected edition, I will be returning to an as yet unreleased novel length adventure that I have written set in World War II. This story will follow the path of an American Soldier who is captured on his first mission, and his travels throughout Germany. Our hero is also relentlessly hounded by a Gestapo agent who is looking for any little way in which to rise through the ranks. These two have their fates bound together in which only one might walk away. This epic adventure will take place over the course of a trilogy and it will be one of the most unique stories that you will ever read.
Further projects on the drawing board with be a paranormal suspense thriller featuring a creature that might be totally impossible to kill or contain. An unseen enemy that could be in front of you any moment, one you might see if you weren't looking at your own reflection.
Finally, the last foreseeable literary project at this time is a story set in what could be our future. In a world where the police have been vilified and vigilante justice is the law of the land, two members of the police must solve a mystery with everything working against them. This story also has the potential to be either a trilogy, or an ongoing series.
Trinity will have her adventures continuing. I will release a collected edition for every three stories that I release. For the time being, all of my literary works can be expected to be released on Amazon in print, or as an eBook on the Kindle and Kindle enabled devices.
Good Things Come in Threes (My first set of poems)
I was inspired at a poetry reading to take a crack at writing poetry myself. I don't consider myself as a poet, merely an author. With that being said, I think these three poems are some of the best work that I have ever done. I read this set at an open mic night at the Lea County Center for the Arts.
"Hatred Has No Home with Me."
Hatred has no home with me.
Not for the things that my eyes can see.
Not for the color of your skin,
Not for the things you believe in,
Even for the things you decree
Hatred has no home with me.
It’s not rocket science
It weighs less on my conscience
More effort wasted on hate than love
Doesn’t bring honor to the lord above
The door to peace has no key
Hatred has no home with me.
Peace in our time is as easy as the choice to try
Instead, our nation chases money while the children cry
The establishments, on our differences ride
A house cannot stand in divide
It’s a simple philosophy
Hatred has no home with me.
This is just a simple message of peace and friendship between each other.
"Naked for Climate Change."
It’s too flipping hot
Walking around naked is a not
If we don’t stop before the Earth is broke
Even our underwear could cause heat stroke
Is it too much to ask
For less greenhouse gas
Before mother Earth goes kaput
I’ll walk around in my birthday suit
Once corporations pollute to their own fall
They will have to bear it all
Let them get a load of this honey
They’ll lose their lunch and appetite for money.
I don’t like going naked, I love my clothes.
My wardrobe won’t matter in our worlds death throws.
If nothing is done soon
We will all be made a buffoon
So before I have to give up my shirt
Let’s fix the world, before it burns to the dirt
This began as a joke on Facebook about how if the corporations causing pollution and the destruction of our planet could get a look at me in my birthday suit, then they might frantically invest in green, clean energy.
"Trinity the Troublemaker"
In the town of Westrock, lives a child not mild
Her adventures can be clumsy and wild
Trinity is a girl whose name goes with Trouble
And when it comes to bullies you can make it double
Picking on others draws more than a frown
If you raise the belt whip up, your pants will go down.
She’s a girl who doesn’t like to hit
But if you’re a bully, you better quit
You pick on others and hide in the dark
Stop right now before you’re made a fool in the park
No matter how bullies like to fight,
There is one girl who stands for what’s right
If the problem of the bully is gone
The next day is a new dawn
If the problem ever comes back around
A little girl and her friends will see you on the playground
Trinity is a troublemaker
But as a friend, not a faker
This was the first poem I read. I know it's a plug for my books, but I figure that addressing hatred and advocating for peace is a more important thing than promoting my books. Which is equal to the issues of addressing climate change and preservation of the Earth. Can't take money with you when you die, the ones you leave behind will inherit the problems that are left behind.
